I have known Judy all of my life starting in the 3rd grade. Judy was a very loving and caring person who was always doing kind gestures for others.  She had a long struggle of about 3 years in her cancer treatment.  She had a loving husband, Bill Jay, and two lovely daughters, Katie & Elizabeth and two grandchildren, whom she adored.  She showed great bravery as she struggled with her cancer but continued to have an upbeat attitude and big smile for everyone she encountered. She loved baking and crafts.  Judy made a lot of cakes for special occassions and was really known for her incredible pies.  She has left a void in her church family at Lawrence United Methodist Church where she was active for over 50 years.  Her life was a life of love and she is greatly missed. She passed in January 2020. God be with her.

Oh my!  I am so sorry to hear of Judy's passing.  I had no idea that she had been struggling these past few years.  I was really looking forward to seeing her again at our upcoming reunion.  The community will miss having her in their midst.  Judy always had such a genuinely caring personality.  She was always smiling and friendly to everyone she met.  I am sure her family and close friends are hurting greatly although anyone who knew Judy also knows that her faithful love for God would have brought her to his side now.  No doubt, she is happy and well now.  I am blessed to have known her.   ...Sue (Whitcomb) Smith
